40,000 People Vote At State Farm Arena
An estimated 40,000 people voted at State Farm Arena, according to the Atlanta Hawks.
The idea of voting at NBA arenas was partially spurred on by LeBron James\' More Than a Vote campaign, with Lloyd Pierce also a vocal supporter.
The Hawks announced that the arena would be a polling location in June. It is the largest polling precinct in Georgia.
The arena consisted of 25 check-in sites with hundreds of available voting machines.
The arena was also used to count absentee ballots.
