Nuggets Continue To Signal Michael Porter Jr. Is Untouchable In Trade
The Denver Nuggets reached the Western Conference Finals and if they make a bold move to upgrade their roster via trade, it almost certainly won\'t be by including Michael Porter Jr. in a deal as he remains untouchable.
\"In talking to teams around the league, the Nuggets have made it clear: Michael Porter Jr. is not available,\" said Brian Windhorst. \"Do not ask.\"
Porter averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 16.4 minutes over 55 games as a rookie in 19-20 after sitting out the 18-19 season due to a back injury.
The Nuggets likely have the pieces to make a major trade but it would have to include Porter.
\"I thought Denver would go whole hog on this, but I can\'t tell you how much I was told this week that they\'re not trading Michael Porter Jr.,\" added Windhorst. \"If you believe Michael Porter is a future All-NBA player, which some people do, not everybody, that\'s a polarizing discussion...\"
