Pelicans To Consider Ty Lue, Jason Kidd If Alvin Gentry Isn't Retained
The New Orleans Pelicans will have a decision to make on the future of Alvin Gentry as he enters the final season of his existing deal, sources tell ESPN.
If the Pelicans do make a coaching change, sources say Ty Lue and Jason Kidd could emerge as candidates. David Griffin has a relationship with both coaches dating back years.
The Milwaukee Bucks fired Jason Kidd during the 17-18 season, while the Cleveland Cavaliers parted ways with Lue at the beginning of the 18-19 season.
Both Kidd and Lue have been head coaching candidates for several other jobs since.
