Doc Rivers Agrees To Become Head Coach Of 76ers
Doc Rivers has agreed to become the next head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Los Angeles Clippers parted ways with Rivers on Monday. Rivers met with the 76ers on Wednesday.
According to Jason Dumas of KRON4, Rivers was the compromise choice for the 76ers. Ownership of the 76ers preferred Mike D\'Antoni while Elton Brand preferred Ty Lue. D\'Antoni likely would have become Philadelphia head coach if Rivers didn\'t become available.
