Jimmy Butler's Request For Blank Nameplate On Jersey Denied
Jimmy Butler\'s request to have a blank nameplate on the back of his jersey has been denied by the league.
Players will have to wear a name as part of the agreement between the NBA and NBPA on jersey messaging.
Butler hoped to wear a blank nameplate to underscore the idea that he would be \"no different than anybody else of color\" if he were not in the NBA.
