Daryl Morey Says Re-Signing Mike D'Antoni Is 'Probably No. 1' Priority For Offseason
Daryl Morey told Mark Medina of USA Today that re-signing Mike D\'Antoni was \"probably\" his top priority this offseason.
D\'Antoni is currently in the final year of his contract.
\"It’s probably No. 1 That’s a fair way to put it. We have all our key players signed. I think Mike coming back is super important,\" said Morey.
D\'Antoni had discussed a contract extension last summer, but was not interested in taking a one-year deal.
Morey described rumors of D\'Antoni leaving the team this offseason as a \"a media creation\" that was also driven by agents.
D\'Antoni was most recently linked with the Pacers coaching job.
