Gordon Hayward Interested In Leaving Celtics Via Trade Or Free Agency
Gordon Hayward\'s three seasons with the Boston Celtics have been marred by injuries and a reduced role amid the emergence of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Hayward signed a three-plus-one contract with the Celtics worth $127.8 million during the 2017 offseason. Hayward has a player option worth $34.19 million for the 20-21 season that he could decline if he is confident he will get a lucrative multi-year deal albeit with a lower annual average.
\"I\'ve heard Gordon Hayward does want out, but I don\'t know if he\'s going to get the money,\" said Ryen Russillo. \"He\'s not opting out of that large number unless he knows he getting the deal.\"
