Chris Paul On Future With Thunder: 'I Just Love To Hoop'
Chris Paul said he didn\'t mind staying with the Oklahoma City Thunder despite their rebuild, saying he appreciates being able to compete at his age.
\"I just love to hoop. [Former Thunder coach] Billy Donovan was amazing. My teammates have been amazing. So, for me, you call it twilight years, I call it a blessing. Just being able to compete at a high level at 35 years old, [I\'m going to] just keep rolling,\" said Paul, who was a virtual fan for Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
The Thunder are widely expected to trade Paul and pivot to a rebuild, with the Bucks mentioned as a potential destination.
Paul currently has two years and $85 million remaining on his contract.
Paul, who is also the president of the National Basketball Players Association, described the formation of the bubble as \"remarkable.\"
\"First and foremost, it\'s amazing how everything came together. Obviously, I\'d rather still be there playing. It is what it is. It\'s remarkable, all the different types of stuff guys have done to make everything happen. That\'s why I\'m honored and privileged to be a part of this great league,\" added Paul.
